Music
Ministry
Salty Strings is the music
ministry of John
and Connie Nicholas, who have been performing music for over fifteen
years with more than a dozen different acoustic instruments. They
specialize in blending the unique sounds of their various
instruments with their own styles for others to enjoy. They
enjoy Christian fellowship wherever they go, and would love to share the following ministries with you:
Concerts—Public
or private, designed to fit your needs. A wonderful way to invite
friends and community to your gathering and share the Good News in
word and song .
Coffee
House Ministry—For
an enjoyable evening of informal music, praise, and sharing of God’s
wonderful work in our lives.
Music
Enrichment—Educational
programs with brief histories and anatomies of various instruments
along with songs and witness applicable to all ages.
Humor—A
dash of good-natured husband/wife bantering that adds a lighter
side to their ministry.
Sermon
Message—As
a Certified Lay Speaker, Connie has been trained to present a
message relative to Biblical teaching, individual daily living,
and the community. John sometimes shares in the message, but
more often will relate personal stories relating to the songs.
Special
Services—Musical
services with testimony and scripture-based analogies that come to
life through the songs.
Private
Programs—House
Concerts, Picnics, Luncheons, Fundraisers, Mother/Daughter
Banquets, Fellowship Groups, etc.

Jesus
said, “You are the salt of the earth, and light to the world.”
Matt. 5:13-14
"In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus instructs us to be salt and
light to those around us. It is our desire to provide music
and ministry full-time wherever God may lead, becoming salt, light,
and inspiration through our numerous instruments and various styles
of music. We feel God has guided us in choosing “Salty
Strings” as our name - a combination of the Scripture
above and the many strings of our instruments."
John
and Connie Nicholas ~ "Salty Strings"

Part of their ministry is
sharing their faith story, how
God works in their lives as they go through the trials and triumphs
that come with everyday living. They have a unique humor that
endears them to audiences and a down-to-earth manner that makes
people instantly comfortable around them.
